Bill created and published the BerBiz electronic newsletter in 1995. It soon became the leading information newsletter about the international business of Bermuda. His corporate website was the first commercial website in Bermuda. In 1996, Bill created the first global risk website in London - The Global Risk Management Network ("GRMN"), which set the benchmark for insurance and reinsurance knowledge sites on the Web. GRMN was the first online industry network which actually had a revenue stream. See the original GRMN poster from 1996. Bill has spoken about the business use of the internet to many industry groups in Bermuda, North America, the UK and Europe. He was invited to sit on the first Ecommerce Advisory Board of the Bermuda Government in 1998. Bill created, produced and co-hosted (with Roger Crombie) a TV series called "ECommerce in today's world" - a six-part live TV series on ZBM TV (Bermuda). He also assisted the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce with its Internet strategic plan and its first website. Bill became an ecommerce advisor to the International Chambers of Commerce, at its headquarters in Paris. |
